Gimped. Again.

I feel a bit like I did two and a half years ago. My wrist is in extreme pain and my right hand can’t be used for anything. I am back to using my left hand for everything - I’ve even moved my mouse (at work and home) to the left side and flipped the buttons around. This time, however, my left hand is more accustomed to being used this way. But it is also a lot more strained because of it.

The visit to my new orthopedist this morning went very well. I chose a new one because my previous one now only offices an hour and a half away from here. I like my new doctor a lot, though. He is very confident and treats me like a knowledgeable adult. He explained everything and answered a lot of my questions before I even asked them! Luckily he doesn’t see any glaring abnormalities in my tendons, so he thinks it may be tenosynovitis (tendonitis.)

Unfortunately I have two tendons giving me pain. He gave me a cortisone injection adjacent to the worse one. That was quite an experience. It took f-o-r-e-v-e-r and it was totally creepy and uncomfortable. And now it hurts like fucking hell. I feel like I did when I first came out of surgery for the cyst. Supposedly the cortisone will make me feel better after a few days though.

I hate being a gimp. :(
